Dr. Charlie Hobbs

Charlie Hobbs is President and Chairman of the Board of AdTec. He has been actively involved in education for 37 years holding positions in five different school corporations from classroom teacher to superintendent of schools. He has earned two degrees from Butler University, his advanced degree from Purdue University, and teaches for Indiana Wesleyan University in their Educational Leadership Program. A major focus of his career has been providing the human, financial, and physical resources to support local educational programs. He has been recognized by state, national, and international organizations for his educational leadership.

Marilyn Hobbs

Marilyn Hobbs has been employed by AdTec since 1997. Her time is divided between Capital Assets Inventory and E-Rate Consulting. She has earned two degrees in education from Butler University and has taught music in both public and parochial schools. Her passion for helping schools and libraries receive E-Rate funds has led to substantial increased returns for AdTec clients.

Bret Lewis

Bret Lewis worked as a superintendent of schools in Indiana for twenty-three years. Also during his administrative career he was a middle school principal and an assistant principal. Bret has four degrees from Indiana State University (B.S., MEd, EdS and PhD). Bret began working as an E-rate Consultant in January 2013. He utilizes his understanding of school budgets and federal grants to benefit AdTec clients.

Sally Baumer

Sally Baumer has been an E-Rate Consultant with AdTec since 2005.  She has served as a member of her local School Board of Trustees for 16 years acquiring an appreciation for the complexities of school budgets and finance. She is also a Licensed Dental Hygienist, having graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.

Darsey Carnal

Darsey Carnal, as an E-Rate Consultant, has aided school districts in their quest for E-Rate funding since 2005. She has a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. Past experiences with federal agencies and expertise in scheduling and project management give her a unique perspective on the Universal Services Administrative Corporation and its processes which she uses to smooth her clients' paths to funding.

Alisa Corman

Alisa Corman joined the AdTec team in 2019 as an E-Rate Consultant. She was employed by an Indiana School District for 16 years holding many positions and ended as Deputy Treasurer. She was a past member of IASBO. Her administrative skills and experience with school budgets provide our E-Rate clients with an exceptional level of service.

Diane Cormican

Diane Cormican is an E-Rate Consultant and Finance Manager of AdTec. She was employed by Belden, Inc. for 29 years, where she held several administrative positions. Her years of administrative, financial, and leadership experience provide her the resources to support local educational programs. She was recognized as ‘Administrative Professional of the Year' in 2003.

Lynn Duhamell

Lynn Duhamell joined AdTec as an E-Rate Consultant in January 2012. She spent the first 40 years of her working life as a public educator serving Portage Township Schools as a school library media specialist, Director of Library Media, and finally as the Director of Information and Technology. Lynn is a graduate of both Indiana University with a bachelor of science in library education and Purdue University Calumet with a Master's in Library Media. Lynn has served on the INCOLSA Board of Directors and other various State Library Committees. Lynn received the 1990 American Association of School Librarians' Microcomputer in the Media Center Award.

Charity Hawkins

Charity Hawkins joined the AdTec team in November 2011 as an E-Rate Consultant. She brings more than 15 years of experience from the banking industry and sales, with a primary focus in customer service and sales management. Charity uses her customer service skills and sales management experience to offer schools and libraries the best E-Rate support possible.

Sandy Hubbard

Sandy Hubbard has worked in public purchasing for over thirty years, as the head of Purchasing and Warehousing for the Indianapolis Public Schools, and previously as the Deputy Director of Purchasing for the State of Indiana. Her career focus has been on large/complex public procurements, including e-rate projects. She has been an E-rate consultant with AdTec since 2016. Sandy is a Sagamore of the Wabash, and a former officer with the Indiana Chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP).

Carol Ingram

Carol Ingram has been an E-Rate Consultant with AdTec since 2009. She graduated from Taylor University with a degree in Business. She enjoys being part of the Adtec team because of the valuable work it does to support educational institutions across the nation.

Rachel Parton

Rachel Parton has been an E-Rate Consultant with AdTec since 2012. She earned her Bachelor's degree in English Education from Spring Arbor University. Rachel taught high school English for five years, and her experience in the classroom has made her eager to help schools and libraries.

Karen Portle

Karen Portle joined the AdTec team as an E-rate Consultant in January, 2011. With degrees from Illinois Wesleyan University and Indiana University, she started her career as a programmer/analyst with NSWC Crane before spending 24 years as Director of Information Systems for Monroe County Community School Corporation, Bloomington, IN. As Director, she used E-rate funding from its initial year to enhance the data communications infrastructure to best support instructional technology use within the school corporation. She is excited to help other schools systems gain as much value as possible from E-rate resources.

Rebecca Revely

Rebecca Revely joined the AdTec team in 2015. Prior to joining AdTec, she taught within school districts in Kentucky and also in West Virginia. She now works to make sure that libraries and schools are able to receive their full E-Rate funding. Her desire to see libraries and schools receive E-Rate funding and expand their technology helps her to serve clients with diligence, detail, and enthusiasm.

Dan Rice

Dan Rice joined the AdTec team as a consultant in July 2016 after a 30-year career in public education. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Education from Ball State University, and completed his 16 years as a school administrator as the Senior Director of Technology for the Elkhart Community Schools. Dan has been involved with E-Rate for more than a dozen years, garnering nearly eight million dollars for his school district and using those resources to help his team build one of the largest technology enterprises in that region. He has always been quick to provide help and advice to his colleagues around the state, and is excited to have the opportunity to continue that work with AdTec.

Karen Rutledge

Karen Rutledge joined AdTec in 2015 as an E-Rate Consultant. She comes from a long line of educators and librarians. Her valuable experience helped her develop the ability to simplify complex scenarios to expedite the E-Rate approval process. Karen loves helping her clients maximize their E-Rate funds and seeing the benefit it brings to schools and libraries.

Kelly Shearer

Kelly Shearer joined the AdTec staff as an E-Rate Consultant and Administrative Assistant in January 2017. Kelly’s prior work experience provides her the opportunity to offer high level, detailed work for her E-Rate clients. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Liberty University.

Katy Smith

Katy Smith has been an E-Rate Consultant with AdTec since 2007. She received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Taylor University and received her Masters in Educational Technology from the University of Michigan. She taught middle school for 7 years. With her education and technology background, she is passionate about helping schools achieve their technology and financial needs.
